AARM / Affordable Art Marketplace

Legal

Your privacy,
plainly stated.

AARM connects artists and buyers. We collect only what we need to make that work, we don't sell your data, and we give you full control to delete your account at any time.

What we collect

We collect only the information necessary to operate the marketplace.

For buyers:

  • Name and email address (used for account creation and order confirmation)
  • Shipping address (used to fulfil your purchase and provide it to the selling artist)
  • Purchase history (artworks you have bought through AARM)

For artists:

  • Display name, bio, location, and profile photo (shown publicly on your profile)
  • Social links you choose to add (Instagram, website)
  • Email address (used for account login and notifications)
  • Stripe Connect account information (managed by Stripe — see below)

We do not collect payment card numbers. All payment data is handled directly by Stripe.

Stripe payment processing

Third party

AARM uses Stripe to process all payments. When you complete a purchase, your payment details are submitted directly to Stripe and are never stored on AARM's servers.

Artists receive payouts through Stripe Connect. Stripe may collect additional identity verification information from artists as required by financial regulations. This information is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Supabase backend & authentication

Third party

AARM's backend — including authentication, database, and file storage — runs on Supabase, a managed cloud platform hosted on AWS. Your account credentials, profile data, order records, and uploaded artwork images are stored in Supabase's infrastructure.

Supabase uses industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Data is stored in the United States. Supabase's data practices are governed by their Privacy Policy.

How your data is used

We use your information solely to operate AARM:

  • To authenticate you and manage your account
  • To process and fulfil artwork purchases
  • To display your artist profile and artworks to buyers
  • To provide your shipping address to the artist who sold you a work
  • To send order confirmation and tracking information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Order records

When you purchase an artwork, a record of that order is stored in our database. This record includes the artwork purchased, the price paid, your name, email, and shipping address, and any tracking information provided by the artist.

Artists can see the orders placed for their own artworks, including buyer name, shipping address, and order value, in order to fulfil the purchase.

Buyers can look up their own orders in the app using the email address used at checkout.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your AARM account at any time from within the app. Deleting your account removes your profile, artworks, and authentication record from our systems.

Order records associated with completed purchases may be retained for a limited period to satisfy legal and financial record-keeping obligations, even after account deletion.

To delete your account: open the app → go to your profile → tap Delete Account.

Questions

If you have questions about this privacy policy or how your data is handled, please contact us at privacy@aarm.app.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use of AARM after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
